This is a rather complex story to tell so I am going to attempt to make an abridged version of it. The full story was recently posted on a military fourm but I am reaching out for more help with this matter, please view the fourm post here for all the full story and I will list a few points here. The names Victor, Anna and Ronald are used to protect the identities of the people involved in this, Ronald is the man who is claiming to be a marine and threatening Victor with death...but please view the original post for the full story.

Ronald is 28 years old, always talks about how he was a Marine, and how the truck ahead of him was hit by an IED. Now from a bit of research I have dug up, Ronald is currently in College as of 2008, yet he talks about how he is being re-deployed shortly.. Which doesn't make sense to me, how can he continue his education if hes heading out again soon? Which puts up somewhat of a flag to me.
On facebook, Ronald has 79 friends, however, we combed through all of them.. and none of them are in the military. one would think that you would at least have a few of your good military buddies on your friends list if you did serve such a hard tour of duty as he tries to portray.
As a side incident after the death threat was received, my friend Victor received a friend request on facebook from some "female" account. This account was freshly made, location of residence was set to the same location where Victor lives, and occupation was listed as "United States Marine Corps 2009 - Present" and this "female" said her rank was a Sergeant. Not only that, but this "female" uses the same style of typing, misspelled words, and emoticons as Ronald.
To me this seems like an obvious attempt by Ronald to get Victor's defenses down by luring him in with the prospect of a female interested in him, and second, it's not very likely to make E-5 in the USMC in that short of a time. Which makes me believe not only it is Ronald, but that he is indeed a true Phony for not understanding how rank structure works and how long it takes to make rank.
Victor was speaking with Anna, and Anna said that Ronald had told her that the Marine Corps had lost all of his paperwork, had lost the fact that he was in the Marines, and lost everything about his rank.. Just completely lost all of his papers. Ronald said that they (The USMC) called him and said that they lost all of his papers, the proof of his rank, and that if he wants to be back in the Marines that he has to re-enlist and go back to basic again.
Is there a way to actually confirm if this man was in the Marines? What do you guys think and is there anything that could be done about this? What are your opinions on this?
Thats for all the answers guys that was really quick, but what the hell are you talking about common_sense_please?
