"A Poet's Writer's Block"
I can't...think of a topic to start with,
What is the logic? What should I target?
Politics? Policies? Probably love?
Artists and arts or like all the above?
Struggling obviously bogged down in angst,
All of these thoughts drawing nothing but blanks.
Thanks to this brain as I'm wide and awake,
It's getting late as some rhymes hit the slate.
Time is at stake but I'm liking this task,
Wishing I'd pull out some rabbits from hats.
Not yet in bed as the thinking resumes,
Cognizant that I'll be finished real soon.
Within my room pondering by the clock,
Victory ensues as I beat writer's block.
