i was disturbed by racism in my very own hometown so i wrote a poem about it. my town is like 98% white and recently more black people have started to move in and i dont care but other members of my town have tried to get them to move out by vandalizing their house, it makes me so sad ='(
I keep hearing people saying
"****** ****** ****** Out Out Out"
And my god, I'm like totally shocked
What is all of this hate about?
Come on, brothers and sisters,
white and black,
we need to all come together
and this hate attack
Racism is wrong
it isn't good,
why can't we love
the way we should?
I see the people in the streets
Waving flags up in the air,
Chanting hate, but do they know
they cause so much despair?
Parading really mean signs,
I just can't believe,
that after all these years
people still judge based on such heeve,
These are my beliefs
that I hold dear although I'm white
I love people of every color
because it is what's right.
