a pansie for not playing sports??? what do you think?

how can a guy (15 yrs old) get his dad to quit calling him a pansie and a girl and a wimp for things like not making sports teams? its really really frustrating and really tiring to hear all the time

any suggestions??
 
This is a real tough thing for you - my husband does the same thing to our son who is only 9. but I do tell him to leave him alone. he says our son is just to lazy to play sports. I've tried to talk to him and tell him he is hurting his son and all I get is "well maybe it will toughen him up then" I really wish I could help you but I really think sometimes men see themselves as a failure if they don't have a macho son. Try to talk to him - get other people in your family involved you may find reasons why he says those things. Good Luck

talk to him and tell him that a real man loves Jesus and that people are called by God to different things, some to sports some to books...
 
get into high academic classes and say

"no dad, I just consider my grades to be most important, not masculinity"

does your mother defend you? what a jerk...
