I entered a novel writing contest about two months ago and when I entered it, I recieved an email that stated that finalists will be contacted near the end of May and the winner will be announced around June 1. The email also said that if I was no longer being considered, my online status would state so. I keep checking my status and it hasn't changed since they've assigned a reader to my novel. It's nearing the end of May and I've heard nothing and I'm getting antsy about my status not changing.
What do you think? Is it possible I'm not in the running anymore and they just haven't changed my status or could this mean I'm still in the running? I don't expect anyone to know for sure but I would like to hear from others' experiences and get some opinions.
