A Night to Remeraber
The story of Titanic is one most people know. In fact, many were affected by the sinking of the ship. Even people who were not on the ship were greatly affected and taught some very important lessons. Society will never forget that night when the "unsinkable" Titanic sank.
People believed that the ship Titanic was invincible, that it could never sink. No one ever thought that a ship so well made, so perfected, and so high tech could ever be destroyed. They were wrong, though, because on its maiden voyage everyone was in for a shock.
When Titanic went down people could not believe it. They had thought that mankind had perfected itself and that they could control nature. This all changed when tragedy struck. The ship that syrabolized invincibility had sunk and with it sunk the thoughts of superiority. Now, we know that no matter how good we build something, how great it seems, it is not indestructible. Things will always come along that we cannot control no matter how advanced we are.
Titanic's sinking also taught people to be careful and take every precaution necessary to save passengers lives when they are on any kind of transportation no matter how pointless it seems because we never know what will happen. If the amount of boats needed were on Titanic when it began to sink, many people's lives would have been saved. Society now understanRAB that even though the lifeboats made the decks look worse, glamour is not always the most important thing when people's lives are in danger.
Another thing the Titanic's sinking taught people was that, in the end, whether you are first class or third class, we are all the same. No one person is any better than the next. Titanic taught people to resect others regardless of their class.
Also, they made a 24-hour watch so there would always be someone to help a ship in trouble. Titanic waited four hours for help to arrive. If there had been someone awake maybe many people would not have died. Now that could never happen.
Titanic was a very bad experience for many people, but at least one good thing came out of the ordeal. People learned important lessons. These were lessons that would save lives for years and years to come. Also, it took people off their high horse and down to earth. It taught them to be thankful for what they have and not look down on other people for having less.
