1.A metre rule is pivoted at its 10 cm mark. A 1N forces is suspended from the 30 cm mark and a Newton metre is used to measure the force required to suspend the ruler horizontally from the 90 cm mark. Draw a free body force diagram to represent this.

2.In the above system additional 1N forces are added and each time the upward force is measured using the Newton metre. Plot a graph of the results below using standard conventions and use this to estimate the rules weight.
Calculate the rules mass using an appropriate formula and comment on accuracy.
