It's a fantasy movie where a boy finds a magical glowing apple, and is transported to a magical world by riding on a giant, floating head of an old man; he hung onto his beard. There, his father turns out to be the king, and the boy has to engage in battle with an evil wizard who's heart is a piece of stone, that turns into a bird at the end of the film. There's pan flutes and people turning to stone...I'm not crazy. This thing existed. Does anyone remember that film?
