I think that one day I would like to try long range competitions. I have a savage 30-06, but I don't think that it's accuracy would be competition worthy. Also that much recoil makes it hard to be precise. What would be a good long range caliber that is easy to get? I was thinking .308. Also would you recommend any American military rifles that would be good? Or do the two just not mix? I would love to have a rifle that an american sniper would use.
