I've just done my GCSE exams and so I obviously have to pick my a levels next year. I keep changing my mind all the time. I want to follow my career with Maths in the future.

At the moment, I'm thinking about picking Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I need to pick something else! and at the moment, it's a cross between Law and Further Maths. I might do Biology but I don't really like the idea of doing 3 Science because they're just too hard.

Is Law similar to History? Would choosing Law help me with the career as a chartered accountant? The thing is that I really enjoy Maths. I am not particularly that clever so would picking Further Maths be too much for me? What does further maths involve? I just need some guidelines :)

Thanking you :D

Maths up to GCSE is about doing sums. At "A" level it's about solving problems.

If you want to finish up as an accountant or to work in financial services generally, a maths degree and "A" level law would be a good combination.

If you want to stick with maths and be an academic, maths and physics is a good combination. It's also handy if you want to do a physics degree. However, don't bother studying physics if you find it hard - it gets harder.

If you're looking at the medical profession, maths chemistry and biology are the best combination.

Obviously, you can do the lot, get 5 A*s at "A" level and make your mind up later.
