Well i'm starting A Level art in September and we've been told yo prepare for my AS course by doing prep studies in the theme of portraiture...
I need to do a mix of photographs, paintings/drawings of myself and others and artist copies... it CANT be drawings of photographs unless ive manipulated them.
I've also been told to look for pieces which use ;
LINE, TONE, FORM, TEXTURE, PATTERN AND COLOUR.
Help?
I've been given some artist suggestions but so far i've only found some interesting Toulouse-Latrec paintings based around the moulin rouge and also someone called Marion B who does half faces in watercolour.
I've done self-portraits in pencil and black & white acrylics for GCSE art so I'm used to portraiture but I've got no idea what to photograph or draw observationally! Anddddd ive not got long left before i start.
Suggestions?
