A "left 4 dead" game question about the headset?

on the game left 4 dead, can you use your headset so command your team mates with out have a network. can you or no. thanx
 
Not that I know of. It kinda sucks as that would be cool and many previous gen game systems (mostly the orginal Xbox) had many games with voice commands, but now they took those features out because of party chats and such.
