A question was recently asked regarding why we consider things like incest and bestiality and other forms of rape to be wrong, and the normal answers were given.
But one struck me as interesting: part of what was asked is why sex between a brother and sister was considered wrong. The response, of course, had to do with the genetic defects characteristic of incest.
But what if one of the partners was sterile, and there was no chance of offspring being produced? Would it then be okay for an adult pair of siblings to have sex? Should we grant them marriage, if they wanted it?
Would those of us who support homosexual sex and marriage despite its original reputation as bad or disgusting or disease-prone refuse to grant rights to such a couple, just because we found their behavior personally disgusting?
