A Huge Mistake!

Grease 2 was a big mistake. I have never been so bored watching a film in my life.

I guess that they are hoping that having John Travolta and Olivia Newton John starring again will be a great crowd puller.

Grease 2 was just a money making excuse, it was cashing in on the success of the original, like most sequels do. It should have been a continuation of the story showing what happened the gang after they left school or something. That or they shoudn't have made any sequel. The reason the film failed is because, apart form a handfull of very small un-important characters, there were original cast members in it.

Grease 3 is a mistake, and another obvious attempt to cash in on the originals success. The fact that Newton-John and Travolta have signed up is just to make the hardcore fans of the original think "this is gonna be something good, because they are in it" and they will go in their droves to watch it. They can't get their money back after they go to see it, so it doesn't matter if it was good or bad, the company has your money now, tough!

I don't care if Kylie is in it, as long as bloody Britney Spears isn't!

(Did any1 else notice that in Grease 2 Michael says "bollocks" when he falls off his motorbike in the field, while Frenchy watches him? I always thought I was imagining it, but apparently he did say it! Listen closely! And it wasn't even edited out by the BBC, wow!)

Padzter :D

Really? I always thought "bollocks" was rather a British expression, I can't think off hand of any American film where the expression is used. I'm not saying you're wrong, of course - and there's no way I'm sitting through the pain that is Grease 2 just to find out!

Grease III will either be phenomenal or a completely disaster. The critics are already sharpening their teeth to lay into it so a MOR film will get ripped to shreRAB; the pressure of making it brilliant will be immense. Needless to say, even if they churn out some utter tosh under the Grease III banner, I can't envisage myself hearing the worRAB "well, it's not as good as Grease 2"...!

It is a British expression, and the person who says it is British. Michael is a student form England studying at Rydel High.

How do I know this? I have 4 sisters who praise the 2 movies, know all the songs and could play the part of any actor or actress in either 2 films. I have heard each line of dialogue and each line of every song so many times I could write the script.

In that case I bow to your superior Grease 2 knowledge :D

Having said that, let's give credit where it's due: the small touch of having a British student mutter a British expletive is actually an artistic attention to detail I would never have associated with Grease 2, so good on 'em!
