I don't really understand your question but I'll try:
Life for slaves wasn't much better after the Civil War. Some slaveowners refused to give up their slaves and killed the ones who tried t run away. Some blacks became sharecroppers for very low pay and it wasn't much different from slavery. The blacks that escaped to the cities were heavily discriminated against and had to fight with the Irish for the lowest paying jobs.
And all blacks were subject to the Jim Crow Laws since the case of Pinckney vs. the US or something said that "separate but equal facilities" were ok.
