...Can he win that in court? Here's what happened. A friend of mine needed a new car because he is a daddy to be. He asked if I wanted to trade with him, I said yes of course. We meet up and he is pushy to trade, he quickly signs the pick after we test drive the cars around the blocks for 15 -20 minutes. We say goodbye, everything seems good, WRONG. He calls me a couple days later, telling me we have to trade back now. My boyfriend and I talked it over, asked you guys who answer these questions (thanks again to you), and plenty of our friends and family. Everyone tells us that we shouldn't trade back, a deal is a deal. Well, tonight I meet up with them to give back some of their things they had left in the car. To my surprise, he says "Okay, here's the deal..".. He's taking us to court because it didn't pass smog. BUT, I had clearly stated and showed him that the muffler was pretty much no longer there ( It hit a rock and has a giant hole in it.). Anyways, after he leaves and when pulling out of the parking lot from where my boyfriend and I stand he squeals off, burning rubber. My first thought when he had pulled in, was that he took it out 4x4-ing and fucked it up (excuse the language.).
But anyways, yeah I'm in dire need of some real peoples opinions. Please help. I thank everyone who answers to this.
