A game requires e6500 2.93ghz for running it but will a i5 core of 2.55ghz...

...with 2.88ghz boost up facility may? 2.93 gigs is min requirement requirement with e6500 processor and i have question of i5 core with boost upto 2.88gigs only.
i have received many answers but the main this still is absent that eventhough i5 is a powerful processor than e6500 is 2.88gigs>2.93gigs for the game?
