My friend was fired today for what showed up on her background check. I was once a manager for a company and know this happens very frequently so I know what they did was legal. But my concern is that before she was terminated the people who fired her discussed the background check, articles within the background check, and that they were finding it hard to tell her she was fired, with my fiance, who is a mutual friend of both parties. So my question is can a employee legally discuss/inform articles of a background check to someone who has no foreknowledge of said articles who isn't an employee?
A friends background checked was discussed with non-employees before she was informed of her termination?
