A friend wants to buy a Honda Prelude and wants a few questions answered. Please help?

He is a teenager, so doesn't have the money to continually repair a car. So:

1. Is a Prelude reliable?

and
2. If something does go wrong, are they relatively cheap to fix?

I would say NO!

about 1. they come in two engines, the 2.0 letter and the legendary 2.2 VTEC engine that everyone know about. the 2.0 is normal sports engine but, the 2.2 VTEC has more power, much more sporty feeling then the 2.0. the 2.2 VTEC engines are solid engines and very very reliable (if it looked after) but once you start to speed with it, it will act as petrol drinking machine (that's when the VTEC kick in).

2. well, Honda's are one of the best car makers that we all knew yet. but their parts not cheap like Toyota or Nissan.

what he can do is tell him to go for Honda Civic 1.5LS, this car is the best to go for.....
