...Facebook... is this illegal? Quick backstory~So my good friend found out that her husband has been having an affair with her next door neighbor and BFF for 5 years. He has left her and their children for this woman now. Our ENTIRE community knows about this. Alot of people are upset and hurt and its torn apart friendships.
Long story short, this woman from the gym (who I dont know personally) found out about it, went on to Facebook and posted a picture of the woman on her employers fanpage calling her a whore or something like that. The husband and the homewrecker called the police on the ex, assuming it was her-and it wasnt. Facebook removed the post apparentlty, but can this woman get in trouble, legally? Would the police and Facebook REALLY invest the time in this crap just to prove she posted this? Or is this just a civil thing? It must happen all the time on Facebook dont you think? Anyhow, the things she posted ARE true-so its not libelous. But what about the photo part?
The other woman is also married (or was-legally still is as well).
