A friend and I want to start a plumbing business. What type of business structure?

Most contractors and builders require a performance bond which is credit based. I have low credit and my friend has very good credit. I hold a plumbers license and he doesn't. He is putting up 60% of the money and im putting in 40%. We will split the profits 50/50. What kind of business structure should we use, so bond companies take his credit into account when they check the credit score for a bond and not take mine into account. LP, LLC, P
