A few things to say about the Dunlop Q2s

I love Racetecs.. You are correct sidewall is stiffer no squishy feeling but same great traction and last a bit longer than Pirelli.. Hear they are going to be discontinued since Pirelli bought Metzler..

Honestly until I first read this thread I hadn't the slightest clue there was a difference. So I just checked and sure enough mine are made by the lazies, hence the heavy comment.

I don't think I could ever run PP2CTs again, first, after the fact they give ZERO warning when they've had enough, and second I had a recall on them which turned into a fucking hassle. I actually called the dealership the morning the recall came out, they hadn't heard shit about the recall, so told me to wait. Of course I didn't want to ride with recalled tires. So weeks later they finally got stock in and offered to replace them... good thing is they only had about 3-500miles left on them That and the molding line on them is hideous, every pair I've seen on a bike thats ridden hard has the molding line just off-center, recently my Chief noticed it on his S4RS, I laughed with him about it.

I like the Pirelli's personally.

Currently I am eyeing the Pirelli Angel STs, BT016 and now the Q2s. I do half commuting to work (90miles a day when I ride to work) and canyon riding (aggressive) and when possible throw in a track day (hopefully many more next year now that we're all back from Iraq and there are tracks more local), but the track bit is secondary. If things work out I will sell myself a set of Carrozzeria wheels and use them for track days with track tires and keep more Sport Touring on the OEM wheels (the Angel STs are getting crazy good reviews).
