firstly, how do i re-grease my crank arm bearings?
also, i'm replacing my rear derailleur. but the allen key bolt from my old derailleur doesn't fit because there's a lip on the bolt that's preventing it from going in. the actual size of the thread on the old bolt is 10 mm. i went to home depot and they didn't have the same bolt, they didn't even have the same size bolt in their hex head bolts.
so what i did was i got an 8 mm hex bolt, two washers and a locking nut, is this okay to attach my derailleur to my frame?
