First of all, please only answer if you've been threw Marine Boot Camp within the last few years, thank you.
I'm joining the Marines, next summer, since I turn 18 this fall, and I want to give my parents time from when I tell them. Anyways, I'll be going to Parris Island, since I'm a Female, I've done so much research just ot get any ideas as I can, also been starting physical training ext.
My Questions are just a few random things, I've been curious about, but cant really find the answers anywhere...
1.) I wear glasses, which I know will be replaced there, my question is, will I be able to wear my own glasses for things like Family Day, or Graduation?
2.) What type of things are availible to buy in the PX? (I know the basic stuff like shampoo ext, but I mean more specific than that.)
3.) I'd be going there, from MN, do they provide the transportation, or would I need to fly myself there?
4.) Are the womens showers group showers?

Also, just curious, do you get to keep all your PT clothes after bootcamp?
