A doctor or an optometrist?

Hello everyone - I get freaked out over too little a thing, it seems.

In the past week or so, I've noticed I've kind of had like these vague headaches kind of ebbing in and going away at different times during the day (mostly in early afternoon). They're not bad at all, not even bad enough to consider taking a Tylenol or Advil, they just kind of hang around for a bit and then disappear (they seem to come back when I get all worked up or stressed).

In addition, almost everyday I plug on through my work often feeling as if I didn't get a good night's sleep (which I don't always, I have to admit).

I also get a tad lightheaded at different points during the day (especially when I'm standing or focusing on something).

I think perhaps the most important thing to mention is that my eyesight seems rather sketchy lately. Sometimes, I'll have to squint at something I'm reading if there's a glare of light on the page, and later during the day, my eyes have some trouble focusing.

So - I'm completely torn and worried. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow for some immunizations, I'll explain my symptoms to him them. I'm hoping it's nothing serious to worry about because I was at my doctor for other reasons in November, and he didn't find anything wrong.
I also have a pretty serious anxiety problem, I also thought that might have to do with it.

Gah, I don't know, I guess my main conern is knowing whether or not my symptoms are something to get all freaked out about...thanks in advance for any input.

Call your doctor's office ahead of time and tell them, in addition to the immunizations, you'd like to talk to the doctor about the other problems you've been havning...that way they can plan to spend some time with you.

Although opthamologists are medical doctors and can run lots of tests, it is best to start with the basics, your primary, because lots of things can cause eye problems and the problems you are experiencing. If your primary can't find anything, then come back and see us again...

Take care.

Thanks! :)

I really hope that there's nothing seriously wrong (I don't really think there is), I just have some pretty hardcore anxiety and when I feel sick, I just freak out to no end.

I know that if there's something awry going on in the brain, often much more specific and disturbing symptoms come up (like vomiting, fever, memory loss, speech problems, severe headaches, seizures).

Eh, well thanks for the advice and I will make it a point to call my doctor's office ahead of time!
