A dark magical adventurous book aimed at an older audiance?

I am looking for a book/saga that is magical and set in a time like the middle ages, like a lord of the rings type of universe xD,


Books/Sagas i have read so far which kindof fits what im looking for
LOTR trilogy,
Bec - Demonata saga
The Thin Executioner


I do like vampire books but try not to clog your suggestions with them =)
and i have read all of darren shans work =)
