I have always, always wanted a Mustang. We are actually going to buy 2 new cars. One for me and one for my husband. We have one now but it is turning into a piece of crap.

Ok first question: Aren't there any mustangs that are Automatic? I can't find any, the ones I'm finding are manual. I can drive a manual but I don't want one.

second question: All the new mustang's have only 2 doors. I'm pregnant right now and will have the new cars before the baby comes how hard do you think it will be with the baby and getting to the back seat? I know it is possible and people do it all the time but how hard is it really?

I want a mustang but if I can't find one that has an automatic then I'm not getting it and will try to find a different car.

There are automatics, go to ford.com and request a quote, you'll get a deluge of emails and phone calls, and they will hound you until you ask them to stop. As far as the car seat thing, darlin EVERY mustang is a two door. The new mustangs have a really tiny back seat, you're gonna seriously regret having bought one about the third time you have to put the baby back there. If you're a serious mustang lover, consider an older one, like 65-67, much more room out back, not a fastback though, they have low headroom in the back and will be a pain in the ass as well. NOTE, they did not come with seat belts in the back seat, but they can be added. If you want a new car though, consider the charger, sporty, and four doors, and you can't beat a lifetime powertrain warranty.

Ok..Mustangs come in either a 5 speed manual or a 5 speed automatic transmission (2008 Models) and as far as finding them go to your local ford dealer and look on the lot for one that you desire if you cannot find one of such specs just ask and I believe that they can order one with everything you desire for no cast at all.

and as far as fitting the baby into the rear seat...I believe that it will be fairly easy to get in and out due to their is no attachment from the seat belt and seat, you would need to move the seat all of the way up of course.

I do however have a concern with the shape of the rear seats. The rear seats are curved and built to hold you in place (that being a teen or adult) I am not sure how well that would hold a child's' seat. the angle may be off causing the seat to tip towards the back of the seat.

Well if you're looking for NEW then just go to your local Ford dealer, I'm sure they have automatic mustangs, they're more of those then there are manual. And to answer your second question, yes all Mustangs are two door sports cars. Depending on the year you get the Mustang the new S197 the 05-current mustangs have a decent seating space in the back compared to the previous generation of the SN-95 1994-2004. Hope that helps, if you have any more questions feel free to PM.

Yes there are automatic transmissions for this car. If buying new at a dealer it will cost more. The Mustang is Fords' sports car and has always only been a 2-door car. Second answer, Mustangs have a very small area called a backseat, it will be difficult getting back there all the time and probably give your back some trouble from the awkward lean and twist. Take a carboard box the size of a child seat to a dealership and put it in. Hope this helps!
