Hi I'm trying to understand with all the metering and iso and exposures. All this is new to me so I have a couple questions

1. if I were shooting with a 100 mm lens what would be the slowest shutter speed I could use

2. if starting with f/8 at 500th of a second what would the reciprocal be if i needed to shoot at f/22th instead?

and 3 if i have an exposure at f/8 at 125th and the tone in my histogram is to the right .. if i needed it to shift to the left one stop [using my aperature] what would my exposure be? like how would i manipulate the histogram ?

i basically need some help so any feedback would be great.

Dear Friend
I will give you the answer one after another.
1. You can use any shutter speed according to your requrements. It amy be 4000 part of a second or in Bulbe mode may be couple of hours for tracking the stars or moon's path way/locuse. Main thing require correct exposure according to invese squre law.

2. If in a light condition when f/8 and 500th is the correct exposure. In that condition when you want f/22 the shutter speed will be 60th part of second.
Relation is like that the (squre of f number and shutter speed multificaton is constant.)
3. In that case the photo will be 1 stop under expose. Even you can increse the shutter higher 1 stop meams 250th part of second.
Still then if you any doubt please fill free to ask my phone:+91-9049406526. This is the number in INDIA's Pune City.
