i used my work computer to watch Tv shows and movies, when i was looking for a good version of True blood, the computer got a virus like nothing i have seen. A MS-dos desktop icon appeared that said Del???? i cant remember what was attached to that word, but i couldnt access anything at all, any file or program. the start menu even appeared blank. No icon would open. anything. so i contacted the IT department, they said unhook it from the network and then we can send it to them. Now the guy became mean, saying we are going to launch a full investagation onto the internet history, and started quoteing internet usage policy and that stuff.

can i do anything to protect myself from getting written up. i can access only the F9 menu during start up, can i default the computer, would that work to get rid of my history. now i of course delete cookies and internet history religiously including offline content, but we all know that only visualy and wont stop a phishing program or recovery program

what can i do
yes it was without permission, and yeah i abused the companys policys. doesnt mean i dont want to get away with it.

thanks
