I had a discussion with my family and I decided to go to community college and then transfer to a top university. I have no clue which university. Anyways I'm not going to community college because of my grades. In fact I am in CIF (honor society) + have a GPA near 3.7..so I'm not a bad student. I chose community college because I feel that I'm not ready yet for a huge university and being so far away from home. The thing is that my friends all applied to top universities already. They always ask me what colleges I am applying to and I just say, "oh I think a couple of UC's..." but inside I already know I decided community college. I am afraid to tell them that because I'm afraid that they'll look down on me. Especially one of my friends who said that, "community college was a shame in her family if she ever went." What should I do? I regret choosing this route because I feel like a failure even though I'm not. Someone please give me advice. Thanks!!
