...who ignores his instructions? If you read the GOSPELS, Jesus' instructions to chop off hands and gouge out eyes is repeated again and again. Matthew 5:29 is NOT out of context. If you read the whole of Matthew 5, Jesus was giving out clear and simple instructions on how to deal with matters in life. And pertaining to sin, he instructed christians to mutilate themselves if they sin.
So between a christian who obeys Jesus to chop off his hands when he sins and a christian who ignores Jesus' instructions, who is the true christian?
