A car that is 30 Grand...Payments and ?

I love cars, their my obsession LoL. But anywho, I'm looking to by a certain car, she's gorgeous. Problem is she is rather expensive, 30 Grand to be exact. Say the place I am buying her from accepts payments..Is there anyway I can pay five thousand dollars upfront, then pay $800 or $900 a month as a payment? I'm doing plenty of work on her after I get her also, about 10 Grand worth of modifications and such. Do you think that payment arrangement could be made? Or with the amount of work I'm going to do to her..should I just forget about her for awhile and look for a 15 thousand dollar car instead and then put modifications on that one? Opinions and advice would be nice. Thanks!
I know 4th grade math thank you very much. I was just asking for opinions. Dream car..and having no life for awhile...or settle for less until I get a better job.
 
It really depends on your credit. My friend got his suv for 30 grand with no money down and pays 500 a month but his credit is great. I on the other hand got really low credit and got a car payment of 450 for a car that is worth 18 grand even after i gave a 4 grand down payment. Both our payments are for 5 years. My opinion is to get something under 20k used with low miles and modify that with year extra cash. Good luck,
