A car is fitted with an energy saving flywheel, which in operation is geared to the drive shaft so tat the flywheel rotates at 240 rev/s when the car is travelling at 80 km/s. the total mass of the car is 800 kg. the flywheel is a uniform disk, 0.55m in radius, with a mass of 20.4 kg. the car decends a 1500m- long 5 degree slope. starting from rest, with the flywheel engaged and no power generated from the engine. neglecting friction and the rotational inertia of the wheels,
a) find the speed of the car at the bottom of the slope
the answer is 11.7 m/s but I can not get it.
THank you
