I've used cameras that has tape and having to capture it onto final cut and it is long of course depending on how long the videos are.
I've tried to drag and drop a video footage taken from the cameras that has digital memory card but in that experience, it came out as an MPEG file and wasn't working/compatible unless i convert it.

I want to be able to use the cameras that has memory cards so i can drag and drop and not having to able to worry about tapes. But i dont know how to tell if whether which camera will be able to be compatible with final cut. How do i find out?
I was told that Cannon product cameras are most likely to work.. but i dont know.

For those of you who use final cut, what camera do you use?
Have you used cameras with tape and cameras with memory cards before? Which one do you prefer and why?
