When I was in High School I remember reading a book which I'd like to re-read now as an adult and appreciate it a bit more.
My problem is can't remember what it's called - from what I remember it was set in the future and there was a young girl who thought she was the sole survivor in the world, I think everyone had died from either chemical or biological warfare. She survived by staying on her farm which was like a safe zone. It turns out there was another survivor too, I think a scientist who eventually stumles upon her.
Any ideas what this book is?
I'm pretty sure a man wrote it as well but died before finishing the book and his wife used his notes to finish it.
