A bio-novel on Harald Scharff's life Hans Christian Andersen?

Last year, an author named Melanie Benjamin released a novel entitled "Alice I Have Been", about the girl who inspired the "Alice in Wonderland" classics. It depicts her as an old woman, looking back at her childhood, relationship with Lewis Carroll, adult life, relationship with a prince, and marriage with Hargreaves. This made me wonder: What if there was a similar book like this, with a close friend of Danish writer, Hans Christian Andersen? Ballet dancer, Harald Scharff, could be spending his last few years in an asylum, then begin to have flashbacks of the times he met H.C Andersen, talked to him, had several dinners with him, etc., all leading up to their love affair together (and its demise, but continued meetings). What would you think? Do you think it'll work out like "Alice I Have Been" did?
