...°C.... (ideal gas law)? A bicycle tire is filled with air to a pressure of 100. psi at a temperature of 19 °C. Riding the bike on asphalt on a hot day increases the temperature of the tire to 46 °C. The volume of the tire increases by 4.7 %. What is the new pressure in the bicycle tire?
i got 231 but the damn online homework says im wrong :(

The new pressure is 104 psi.

I think you didn't get the right answer because you didn't convert values into appropriate units. Ideal gas law uses K (not C) as the unit of temperature and atm (not psi) as the unit of pressure.

Try to re-calculate after conversion -- you'll get the right answer.
