the ball swings around a circle with radius r= .6m when the ball reaches point B (horizontal) the rope hits peg P at x = .24m causing the ball to swing in a smaller circle.

i found velocity at point C = 1.88m/s...
1) what is the speed that the mass must start at point A to reach C with this speed (1.88m/s)?
2) what is the change in tension in the rope at point B between the instants before and after the rope hits the peg?
