I recently got HIDs for my 1999 Toyota Corolla LE, and after hooking them up, they wont even turn on. The way i have them is the bulbs to the ballasts, the ballasts to the relay, and relay to my battery. I have the red wire with the fuse going to the pos. terminal on the battery, but with the kit, there were two ground wires, im assuming one for each ballast. and i ended up scraping paint off to bare metal, and grounding it that way, instead of having one go to the neg. terminal on the battery.
My question is - is it possible that i may have gotten a bad relay? or possibly am not getting enough power? I was reading that it is possible i may need to disable my daytime running lights, but i dont want to unless i absolutely need to, and that is the solution. Could it be that the buildup around my battery isnt giving enough power? Or possible that my grounds arent "Grounded" enough and need to find another spot?
Thank you for any input you can give
