It shakes at any speed, but it really gets bad over 65 mph. I know that it's not tires or wheels b/c the vibration stops almost immediately when I let off the gas. It feels like the vibration comes from between the seats, not the front axle. There is no loss of performance (it accelerates really well at any speed). I have an oil leak that is coating the undercarriage, but some of it is from the heads that I had replaced a year ago. I can't tell where any other oil is coming from b/c it is all over the under side. When it gets bad, the vibration sounds like brrrrrrrrr. It never changes sound as long as I keep the pedal constant.
I've heard that these vehicles have problems b/c the front drive shaft is always engaged, whether in 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. Is this a drive shaft problem, a transfer case problem, or something else? How much should it cost to fix? thanks.
