Hi All, 99Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Was whining on acceleration only between exactly 50-55mph. Had new rear differential,new brakes,etc. Sound got louder. mechanic said it was tire noise. I'm not stupid, if it was tires it would be constant noise regardless of acceleration. But I needed tires anyway,purchased and had all work checked by a different mechanic with no problems.
Ive read something about worn rings, pinions, improper gear set up.
The noise is in the front on the right.
any help at all would be appreciated. if you are in west virginia, I'll pay you to fix it correctly! thanks again
