99 honda xr 200 bogging down?

i have a honda xr 200... its old... and i think its running on stock engine... but anyways... it runs great except if you give it full throttle it bogs down... and it will completely stahl if you dont let up i put a new spark plug in it... and it seemed too help a little bit.. but its still doing it.. and its a real pain when you hit 4th gear go full throttle and it tries too die... i was thinkin about gettin the carb cleaned... and other suggestions??
it does it with the clutch in out... any gear... neutral... so i dont think its trans
if i am idleing... in neutral... and i give it full gas it will attempt too die if i let off it will idle back up... if i do not let up it will die... but after it has been at a high RPM occasionally it will stay up there untill i put pressure on it by releasing the clutch and then it will go back too normal
 
Check the float level and also the main jet. Make sure the main jet is clean and free of any obstruction.
 
my yamaha warrior use to do the same thing.it was the carb. the floats were set to low and when the atv hit high revs it would die because it was running out of gas.
