Basically I'm looking to buy a new car because mine isn't going to pass inspection. I found a '99 Prelude (not SH) locally for $4k. It has 118k miles, and apparently it needs an O2 sensor. I always have a mechanic do a mechanic's inspection on any car I buy. Is this a good deal? Are preludes are reliable as civics, as long as I don't beat it into the ground? Also, if it's something I should stay away from, what would be the best choices in the $3-4k price range? Thanks!
