'99 ford taurus wipers come on automatically?

I can be driving down the road and my wipers will come on and wipe one time then go off. No reason no time frame. Some times it happens multiple times a day and some times multiple times in a row, other times it dose not happen for weeks. My wipers will not be on or have been on when this happens. Any Idea why?
 
It's the circuit board that controls the wipers that need to be replaced. I'm not absolutely sure on a Taurus but many cars circuit boards can be found by removing a cover on the wiper motor. It's easy to replace. It just plugs in. When you put that cover back on be sure to put a small bead of silicone on the mating edge. If moisture gets in there it will cause the problem you described.
