ok i thought my clutch went so i started to remove the tranny and it was the clutch cable tranny did NOT come out it was unbolted but not removed i bolted it back in and puit everything back in ( radiator starter battery power distribution center) it ran for maybe 30 minutes now it will only attempt to turn over it is a 99 dodge neon 2.0l DOHC
sounds like fuel isnt gettin to the engine.

Check all connections you may have taken off when unbolting the transmission, powers, grounds, etc. Figure out why it is not starting and trace it back. For example, are you not getting spark or fuel?

If it will barely turn over, it sounds like an electrical problem. Try charging the battery. See if it will start. You may have a number of things wrong, such as a bad alternator, bad battery, bad electrical connection, bad fuse, etc.

You may also have somehow damaged a sensor or something.

Worst case scenario you may have let too much oil leak out of it while you were working on it and it has begun to seize.

That motor also has the bad habit of having the intake gasket go bad and letting oil in the anti-freeze and vice versa. You may want to check the oil and make sure it is OK.

To make a good diagnosis you really need to provide more information.
