99 civic si rim offset?

I have a 99 civic si with i think a 2 1/2 front and 2 1/4 in the back, might go lower in future but not sure yet. I am looking to buy wheels for it and have pretty much decided on a 16 inch wheel. what I am finding is 16x7 with a 45 offset is this going to be good for my car? If not what should I be looking for?
