My brother has given me a Chevy blazer that has a few issues. His mechanic could not figure out what was wrong with it. Everything in the truck works well accept it wont start. I turn the key and i hear the fuel pump come on(no problems with it). But when the key is turned to start the vehicle absolutely nothing happens. I also hear a few ticks from within the dash under the glove box basically. Ironically my brother said before the truck would start every so often, but only when the daytime running lights came on. I dont know if there is a correlation but i though maybe that info could help. Im wondering if maybe it could be the ignition relay? or maybe a line going to the vehicle computer? any ideas please help
Well heres the thing. The mechanic was starting it by touching wires together on the starter. Therefore the starter is functional but it seems somewhere the signal going to the starter is broken. Could this be the relay? some say its a bad ground?
