To start- I know not a thing about cars... so here goes... I need my Catalytic Converter replaced on my 99 Buick Regal but the mechanic I was going through said that it's now an illegal part and he can not help me. Is there a replacement part? A new legal Catalytic Converter that meets regulations? So clueless and don't know what to do. Thanks for any help.
