98 Toyota Avalon camber problem?

I own 98 Avalon since new and currently with 130Kmiles on it.
Replaced both front struts and 4-tires 13 months ago at 120Kmiles. Always with standard tires, wheels and struts for this model.

Both front tires wore their insides to the steel belt probably because a highly negative camber. Until a shop replaced those struts last year, no problem whatsoever with the front suspension.
Now:
Shop #1 suggests standard wheel alignment;
Shop # 2 suggests replacing the struts again;
Other info sources states this car model can not have its front wheel camber adjusted, that it all depends on the struts.

Can the after market replacement struts go bad so fast?
What is the correct camber angle for this model?

At this point in time, it's hard to figure out what action is needed to correct this problem.
Any/all help is welcome.
Thanks
