I have a 98 f250 with about 60,000 miles on it. It has the 5.4 and is 2wd. It blew a spark plug out of the head a few months ago. I didn't get it fixed until about a week ago. The truck sat it my garage and the battery went dead. When I charged the battery, before I took it to get fixed I noticed the speedometer jumping up to about 40 when I turn the key on. After I got the spark plug issue fixed, the speedo was still acting up. When you put it in drive it stays at around 40mph even if you arent moving. It will work correctly if you go faster than 40. any suggestions? My mechanic says to drive it and it may correct itself but I've driven it about 30 miles with no change.
